We offer to your attention the facsimile edition of the complete text of Pylyp Orlyk's diary for the period of 1720-1733, "Travel Diariush, Which in the Name of the Holy Trinity Was Started in 1720, of the 10th Day of October"."Pylyp Orlyk was a gracious figure in history, not only due to his biography of a Hetman in exile, but mainly due to the "Treaties and Regulations" – the so-called Bendery Constitution, which is sometimes presented as the first democratic constitution in the world. Pylyp Orlyk's "Diary", covering several years of the Hetman's life in exile, is interesting due to that it reveals both personal and intimate aspects of the Hetman's life and daily round, and his political activities, where not everything was straightforward and not everyone does him honor.
