Z-Band, Igor Zakus. Zakus Was Here live 2007.

Jazz-Kolo appeared an even more wide-scale undertaking than simply organization of regular large live presentations of original jazz material – though that is already quite a bit. But within the project, releasing of recording of the most successful concerts in Jazz-Kolo will take place as well from now on. In October, 2007, three audio discs and two DVDs have already been released – and simultaneous appearance of so many wonderful discs cannot but make us happy. And that they are wonderful – nobody would doubt that. Season 2007 was opened and closed with performances by, actually, Igor Zakus with Z-Band – and the both concerts have now become constituent parts of this series. At closing of the season, an absolutely new program sounded – "Kolomyiky". Well, and the program "Zakus Was Here" sounded during the opening, and it is it that you are going to hear here. It comprises pieces from the two latter albums by Igor – not all of them, sure, but even these eight tracks will be enough to thrill and stun. The more so that the composition of Z-Band is, as usual, at its best: Dmytro "Bobin" Alexandrov (tenor saxophone), Rodion Ivanov (keys), Volodymyr Shabaltas (guitar), Olexander Lebedenko (drums).
