I was very, very disappointed with this DVD. It is clearly a "rip-off" from a television recording! A television station logo (that has been computer 'filtered') is evident throughout the whole movie in the bottom right corner.
This DVD version is worse in quality than a very old VHS version that I have. What credibility can the company that issued this have for issuing a clearly pirated, (and extremely poor quality) version?!
Shame, shame, shame! I was hoping that the Ukrainian film industry would get its act together and issue a commemorative issue of this classic film/opera...

Я був дуже розчарований цим DVD — видно що це не є від оригіналу, чи навіть з доброї копії фільмової стрічки — на жаль він є "rip-off" — піратований від телевізійної версії, разом з дуже помітним фільтрованим логотипом в правому нижньому кутку. Ця версія є гірша ніж VHS-касетною версію яка була видана давно тому.
Сором, що такий класик не міг бути виданим цивілізованою версією...

Мені цей диск дорогий з двох причин: з суб'єктивної і об'єктивної. Суб'єктивна полягає в тому, що мені колись випало знати всіх виконавців опери. А об'єктивна в тому, що українську оперну класику на дисках можна порахувати на пальцях однієї руки, й цей диск - вже музейний раритет.
