Carpathiana. Eat My Borsch.

There must be not that many UK-Ukraine groups, and of such famous and powerful as, for example, The Ukrainians – even fewer. That is why it is always pleasant when something new and interesting appears in this direction. And thus no wonder that it is with a joint concert with The Ukrainians that the way of the group Carpathiana started in 1996. During this time, the founder of the group, Yury Balyuk, has had time to acquire a decent reputation both in UK, and in Ukraine, and not only – both solo (as a DJ), and together with the group. It was especially nice to recently hear Carpathiana at such festivals as Rock-Sich and Kraina Mriy – performances by the group are special for their ability to change the space, with this music air becomes light, but very saturated, energetic. However, it is not surprising, in fact Carpathiana combine in their work club, electronic culture – with the colors of Ukrainian folklore. The latter, by the way, is revealed not only in singing, but also in sounding of live instruments – the violin, pan-pipe, guitar, etc. This is not only pleasant as it is, but also adds special tints to the sounding – no doubt.
