Jacuzzi Project. Cheeeeek!

Just a few years ago one could only dream about this kind of Ukrainian music on licensed discs. But lately several interesting albums of odd stylistics have been released in different publishing houses at once – here Jacuzzi Project can be put in the same line as, for example, Mamanet, 4.A.J.K.A., Dollheads. Speaking about these and similar collectives – it is very difficult to attribute any concrete, fixed definition to the music that they create. And this is frankly nice) Well, and speaking in more detail – then, for example, so: jazzed electro-funk with acid-dance groove and inclusions of broken rhythms. Is that not too concrete? But, at least, this hints at the atmosphere of this music – and its atmospherity... Actually, this is what one should know about Jacuzzi Project: they do not recognize vulgar limits – and this is the main principle to which the musicians consistently adhere; in their permanent composition instead of the 6-string guitar, a second bass guitar is involved – and this is for the better; the lyrics are there, and in different languages – but what matters is rather not the words but the sounds they consist of; the project readily cooperates with session musicians – actually, in the debut album, apart from the four permanent participants, six invited ones play) – among which a saxophonist and another (!) bass guitarist. Thus, it is an ambiguous – but definitely interesting – mixture. Recommended to take inside in large doses!
