Tomato Jaws. One Secret.

Ukrainian electronic musicians are more and more actively occupying the field of neighboring stakeholders – those who sing. That is – they start singing either themselves or with voices of invited artists (here we refer to, certainly, sheer authors' music, not remixes). But themselves – that is still quite rare. Well, and Tomato Jaws can be considered among the earliest explorers in this direction – virtually from the very beginning they have never been shy to sing independently. At that, both in English and in Ukrainian, Russian – and this is even more rare. Moreover, Tomato Jaws began among the first ones engaging to their sets live panpipe playing – and here, again, that is their own performance. This trend is now also spreading more and more quickly. However, it seems that both the voice and the panpipe have never sounded so saturated and confident in any of previous works by Tomato Jaws as they do in the new one. And when you listen to "One Secret", willy-nilly you start thinking – it is pity that they have not. This is, maybe, especially true about singing – Nata has drawn a few lines that even may lead the project's music to some other dimension. However, everything in its time – in any case, the new album is well balanced, it sounds saturated, but it is not overburdened with superfluous extremities. Atmospheric, rhythmic, melodious – isn't that enough?
