The trip in store for us is blue-eyed, smooth and deep, so get into the corresponding mood. Electronic patterns, archaic singing and the noise of water – that is external surroundings, only the three basic elements. But the internal content is virtually boundless. As is known, a person is able to observe living water endlessly – it is easy to feel this magic, though it is not that easy to explain it. It may be rain, underground stream, storming sea, mountain river, forest lake – that does not matter. Sometimes it is sufficient to just open the tap in your bath – and you are already fascinated. Sometimes one drop is enough... Soft, but at the same time impetuous electronic polyrhythmics are even in themselves capable of drawing a current – and here this transparent force is reproduced, it seems, faultlessly. Not external sound similarity, but internal rhythms of water – that is what our musicians managed to feel and convey. And another remuneration for the listener will be, in my opinion, the singing. I am sure – one cannot but be enchanted by the harmony that is hundreds, if not thousands years old. These accords contain knowledge about the birth of our world – one cannot explain, just knows, feels. "Vezi" in translation means – Water. I think, not only music will flow, but each listener as well. What Vepslandia is, who the Veps are and how it concerns Ukraine – find more details about it in the booklet and on the Net. And thus be simply aware – with this project the Kyiv musicians give honor to the things and connections whose history totals up to dozens of centuries. When the issue is basics so ancient and significant, it is better to not speak – to listen. To flow.
