There are quite a lot of fairy-tales where animals are the characters in the world – it is especially true about folk fairy-tales. But among literary works – there are not that many of them. While "Mowgli" is one of those literary fairy-tales that practically all children in the whole world know. And really love. Why refer to abstract examples – I remember well how I used to devour this book. And it seems to me that they love this fairy-tale not only for that its animal characters have very bright characters, expressive personalities. Yes, this is important and interesting – but I think that it is Mowgli who causes the greatest fascination among all the little readers. He, who lived all though his childhood and adolescence the life of a free wolf – all the same becomes a real human. A man who is honest, courageous, intelligent, noble – capable of fearless deeds, sincere love and sacrifice. Moreover, there is another interesting moment. Mowgli is a man, and he wins. I do not know what exactly Kipling himself implied in this story. But it seems to me that, taking into account the present moment, this fairy-tale should cause the absolutely certain thought. Namely – that a human, being the strongest creature in the world, is responsible for this world.
