But it is an ambiguous thing – that glass. If you look from one side – well, what can be positive about drinking? Both time, and money disappear to nowhere – and then, suddenly, the whole life might disappear somewhere... And from the other side – you should really know nothing about drinking to make your life worse. Ukrainians, judging by the number of relevant songs, have always known drinking well. Regardless of how good or bad their life might be. Possibly even that is one of reasons of the philosophical attitude to life confusions characteristic of Ukrainians. At all events, there are only a few people – fingers of one hand will be enough to count them – who would as zealously as Ukrainians sing about friendship with a glass. And each of these people is known for their lenient attitude toward problems. But, at the same time, all of them are known for their great warriors – and these warriors never evaded either from another glass, or a new fight. I do not know where the reason, and where the result is, but the connection is obvious. Thus, let us listen to the wonderful collection of songs devoted to the glass and all important things in life connected with it.
