Ukrajins‘kyy tantsjuval‘nyy. Golden Collection. (Ukrainian Dancing)

Usually, discs of the "Golden Collection" represent rather rare recordings by widely (or widely enough) known performers. But this time the new disc is special for three reasons at once. The first one is the theme of the collection: until now, no discs devoted to Ukrainian folk dances have yet been released within the limits of the collection. The second – in this case, you will almost not see known names. The basis of the collection is recordings of collectives virtually unknown to the large public – although in issues of mastery they do not subdue to their better-known colleagues in trade. Well, and the third reason is already more habitual for this series: you will hardly be able to find the recordings represented here anywhere else, in fact, they were made especially for the NRCU funds, and in other archives you just won't see them. And there is no doubt that it is worth hearing – in the end, they always selected for fund recordings only the best, the most characteristic and interesting ones.
