Mureny. Skhozha na osin‘. (Looking Like Autumn)

It quite often happens so that on the debut album of some group that is only acquiring real impetus, only those two or three song that already had time to appear on the radio or TV before the album was actually released are worth paying attention to. It is therefore pleasant to note that in the case of Mureny everything happened in an absolutely different way. Possibly, the point is that the group is already 10 years old – experience is noticeable, and they have already had time to play with everything in turn before they defined their own profile. At all events, Mureny advantageously stand out against the background of a lot of their colleagues in style – because they have eyes of those people who, in the positive sense, do not care. The main thing is to create high-quality music and to maximally enjoy the very process. They do succeed in that. Both in texts, and in music by the group, it is possible to hear sincerity without glossy sugar – nevertheless, externally everything sounds easily and naturally. Mureny are somehow able to keep the look of outsiders, but at the same time create interesting, not really unambiguous pop-rock. A rather strange, as for our hasty times, combination – it would be just great if they could keep this balance in the future. All the rest – as, say, glory, money and others things like that – in that case comes by itself, sooner or later. Light music that offers to the listener not only pleasant melodies but also themes for reflections – cannot but come into notice.
