Platina. Zajvi slova. (Superfluous words)

Interesting, I should say, movement has lately started in Ukrainian music. More precisely, has come on the surface – it started, sure, earlier. And it shows up in appearance of a whole new formation of groups. They play music that balances between rock and pop – each group usually has its own set of additional ingredients. They sing romantic songs – and at that try to write intelligent lyrics, not just sets of rhymed phrases. They often manage it not bad. It is not always serious poetry – but it contains personal opinions, own codes and interesting discoveries. Well, and the last thing – girls sing in these groups. Thus, as a rule, really sing, not just pronounce the texts. Very correct tendency. With pop-rock performed by men there are still problems in our country somehow, although the situation is still not hopeless. Well, and now for your attention is one of debuts of the mentioned tendency, the first album of the group "Platina", whose song "Bilet-Kino" the whole country must have heard, presumably. Music of the group is not heavy, but tends to rock sounding. From additional spices, most perceptible is the influence of hard-rock of the 1970-80s – but the group successfully mixes it with modern colors. Besides, a few songs stay aloof from the general direction – the album does not look monotonous. It is possible to separately emphasize the vocalist, Viktoria Vasalatiy. Her voice is live, plastic – and she feels well in songs of different styles. It is interesting to follow her intonations, she is able to positively surprise. Thus – we can congratulate the group on the good start.
