Natalka Karpa. Rizdvjana zirka. (A Christmas star)

I remember that in childhood I often wanted the New Year to come in the middle of summer, because I liked this holiday more than my personal birthday. That is why I suggest to consider this disk as a present for a child that lives inside of everybody, as it may become a real holiday capable to raise your spirits. And the point here is not only in the subject-matter of this disc – though the atmosphere of Christmas carols is characterized by its own joyful magic. The point is that Natalka Karpa has a really beautiful voice, soft and pleasant, sweet, but with some hardly perceptible bitterness. A child will never sing like that. Though, not every girl will be able to sing like that. Only a woman can sing in such a way. This voice is so strange that I could not say why I like it so much. I wonder, what a little child feels whose Mother sometimes sings so well. I wonder, if this voice will enchant you, too.
