Several months ago I was in Lviv, and now I know that it is not a problem to hear a fable or a story from the life of Ihor Bilozir there. Sometimes you needn’t even ask – Lviv inhabitants relate them to anyone quite willingly. If you want to listen to them, go there. As for this album, the first thing I noticed was that it presents several voices, which admirers of the Ukrainian pop art miss so much. Please notice that listening to this album, you may hear not only Ihor Bilozir and Vasyl Zinkevych, but also Kvitka Tsisyk. All the same, Ihor Bilozir is in the centre of attention, of course. May be, you have not heard him perform before – it is quite possible. Well, then listen to this disc. I think, you will understand at once why he had so many admirers not only in Ukraine, but also abroad. A soft, tender and always young voice – it has some kind of transparency. It may be the very reason why it lives till now. And may be, it will live for many years ahead.
Unfortunately the quality of archive recirdings often does not meet modern standards.

...when such vocal as Mykola Svydyuk's sounds – sometimes one feels pity that today there are no heirs of that craft, there are no performers with such voices. Here, it seems that he does not demonstrate any extraordinary equilibristic vocal, and the songs are not that difficult, right? But it touches – it is simply nice to listen to, and that's it.

Generally speaking, after appearance of the songs "Land" and "The Day Passes, The Night Passes", he could easily do nothing more. So great was love of the audience to these songs that for many years already they have regularly appeared in new interpretations, and certainly have come into notice.

He got his first real popularity approximately 30 years ago. And it was huge – as it was measured by the scale of the Soviet Union. Then there was the victory at the festival in Sopot – and here in those times this was considered a sort of a peak of a variety art career.

Все песни на диске заслуживают наивысших оценок. Здорово, что звучат они в исполнении таких легендарных исполнителей как Квитка, Василь Зинкевич. Игорь Билозир несомненно есть немеркнущая звезда с небосвода украинской и мировой музыкальной культуры. Кроме яркого таланта композитора и поэта, на диске можно услышать и несколько его песен в собственном исполнении. И мне лично они понравились больше всех, а в особенности Гiрський танок и Вiд Бога. Очень красива песня Свiтлиця в исп. В. Зинкевича. Все песни с диска запоминающиеся и очень хорошо слушаются. Жаль только, что в некоторых из них музыка несколько затеняет вокал. Надеюсь, что издатели продолжат выпуск песен Игоря Билозира в исполнении лучших голосов Украины и конечно же самого автора.

У відношенні трагічно загиблого Ігоря Білозіра дотримуюсь правила: або тільки добре, або - нічого. Безумовно прикрашають диск 3 пісні у виконанні Василя Зінкевича. Також хочу сказати, що беззаперечним шлягером композитора Білозіра і поета Запотічного є пісня "Коханий", у цій програмі у виконанні американської українки Кейсі Цісик. І, хоча пані Квітка деякі рядки пісні виспівує не дуже розбірливо, їй, як громадянці США і просто чарівній співачці, ця дрібничка безумовно вибачається. Мабуть і тому, що з Ігорем Білозіром вони вже давно зустрілись у Небесній Україні...

Superb music!! I highly recommend this album.
Ihor Bilozir's music reflects the deep soul of the Ukraine. I only wish the lyrics were available in English.
