Ivan Popovych. Zoloto Karpat. (Gold of the Carpathians)

For already a lot of years this voice is recognized, they listen to it, listen respectively. Presumably, because Ivan Popovych sings brightly, expressively – his manner can hardly be mixed up with that of anybody else. And for a person who loves Ukrainian variety art, Ivan Popovych, I think, is one of its major heroes. Due to sincerity, energy of singing, he even now, as time ago, is able to attract new and new fans. Mostly – among adult audience. But, probably, young people would also find this singing worth listening. There are in it such notes, intonations that differ from the mainstream. There is something of the Carpathian colors, and something of gipsy roulades – traveling musicians could sing so long time ago. I'm not sure that they sang just like this – but the aftertaste of that free space is felt in this singing. Isn't it why a lot of variety art poets and composers consider Ivan Popovych a real embodiment of the Carpathian, the Western Ukraine singing talent? In the end, a lot of his songs are well familiar to you – therefore, I think, the new meeting will be pleasant as well.
