With their first album of 2006 "Good Night" DahaBraha not even entered – but broke into the music space, took roots and started growing actively. That was a live joy – both in itself, and because, in particular, the album consisted of recordings of the group's live performances. Now –crystallization takes place, and so you see the first studio album by the project. On the one hand, it means that a part of the songs will seem as though familiar to you. On the other – even familiar things will appear here in a new light. But all the same this light remains – magic. Not such, as the good old entertaining "magic lantern", but – such as that of Gabriel Marquez, Goran Petrovich, Taras Prohasko. When they surprisingly unite the most ancient past of different people and continents – and their modernity – and the space, in which all this lives, belongs to the world and light, and not to time... When attention to tiny, seemingly, details results in the ability to discover and see the Universe in each grain of sand, any drop. When everything takes place so truly that it often seems sheer fantasy... DahaBraha is sometimes water – feeding, cherishing, carrying and guarding. And sometimes – the thinnest blade cutting a mustard grain in half in order to find there – wind, sun, freedom. Nobody knows what exactly each of us will find here, but we are sure – to find. First I listened to the Ojra’s records somewhere at the end of 90-ties, yet then it was the attempt to join the archaic and the up-to-date. The staff of the group changed several times since then, and they didn’t give up to search. Of course, a variety of creative paths they made gave its outcome: one of the best, I think, neo-folk records of all Ukrainian discography of the recent years.

In its foundation, the idea was simpler and defined as "ethno-cabaret" – that is, folk songs decorated with a music mix from any sorts of styles. Conditionally speaking, from northern dub to oriental blues. And as a result they conducted skilful retro-styling for NEP times (the New Economic Policy), that is for around the 1920s. And what appeared then – was a bomb.

Це перспективний проект. Вже з перших звуків закохалася у гурт. Мабуть я тепер стала його фанаткою (хоча фанатію я інколи, так під настрій)
Притаманна якась чарівна енергія нагадала мені живу музику свого народу. Цікаво, що асоціюеться вона в мене з шабашем.
Не звично, етнічно. От якби цю групу та на Євровіжон, то б вони під чисті барабани розтоптали усіх учасників. Іноді так не дістае мені тіеї щирої української відданності, якою багата наше молоде покоління. Люди озирніться, це ж майбутьнє нашої музики, яке потрібно підтримувати, та допомагати розвиватися.

It's most probably the best album in this shop. Contrary to what john riszko said, it has a lot of aesthetic values, and more - it's really traditional, not just a dumb "civilized" adaptation. Just don't expect lounge music - it's lively and a bit wild. You can check if You like this style at youtube - search for "dakhabrakha", you should get two videos.

Save your money. This is a put on. There is no redeeming aesthetic value in this CD. This group has no musical artistry; there is a lot of unpleasant sound here.

Досить цікавий проект... Люди експериментують, створюють щось нове. Це вже навіть не український етнос, а навіть вже якийсь африканський трайбл... Але звучить свіжо і інтригуюче. Рекомендую всім.
