Eurovision is, probably, the most famous variety song competition in the world. Even in the USA that start by and by being aware of it– and this time its co-presenter was the girl from there. By the way, this year more than 100 million people all over the world were following the course of events – and each year this parameter becomes more and more impressing. And the audience’s voting sometimes seems rather paradoxical. Could anyone seriously rely on that the Finns with their hard rock song and disguised as monsters will win in Athens? But they won, at that – triumphantly. Though, certainly, everyone of the audience has his/her own tastes. And they not necessarily coincide with tastes of the majority. I will not speak about my tastes here, but I shall emphasize another moment. Does it only seem to me, or really each year performances of northern and Slavic singers become more and more powerful?
