Izzet. Fraon.

Izzet Abliazov makes something special – that’s for sure. On the first album he was singing his own songs, on the second one – he already used rhythm reggae for Tatar folklore – and it sounded cool. This time – Izzet easily and beautiful interweaves reggae with Crimean Gypsy folk. Although, now reggae is not the base but rather an adornment. And maybe it’s better to speak not so much of reggae in this case, but of dub? Besides, everything is decorated with ornaments, where the Balkans and the Middle East sing together. As a result, the created mixture is deep and joyful at once. Especially elated mood can be felt in the bonus – the last three songs. It sounds like they send us to the first album of Izzet, on a somehow different level though, as one approaches them now through the sound of the later recordings. Well, it’s great that after a long pause a musician comes back, and not only does he come back but brings good humor and interesting music. Let’s acknowledge, who now does what Izzet does for Crimean folk? Unfortunately, almost no one. The sole figure that comes to mind is Enver Izmaylov, but that is a totally different story...
