"I am a singer, I am an actor who to a great extent in his formation as a personality is obliged to the Ukrainian radio. And those radio plays that for the first time I heard in my native Prykarpattya, and those plays where I already took part – all of that turned into my essence, my nature. And when it was offered to me to take part in the project of radio plays of the Chernihiv authors Illya Homenko and Volodymyr Fomenko, I, certainly, did not refuse. And did not make a mistake. In our time rid of ideas time, time of amorality and compromises, time of treason at every step, they boldly declare their clear civil position for protection of dignity, for protection of the name of the Human. Songs by these authors are different from what sounds in radio and TV programs. They wake up the thought, appeal to the conscience, do not let the memory fall asleep.

That is why I agreed to perform their songs – really perform, not sing – because my position as of a citizen coincides with the author's position. Possibly, someone will hear us, and we will not stay alone in our fight for honor and decency." Olexander Bystrushkin
