Ukrainian Modern Lyrical Songs. Masterpieces of Ukrainian Music.

In the previous four compilations, obviously, Oleg Skrypka had to somehow fit his own preferences in some set frames – but in the fifth one, maybe, everything happened vice versa. Most likely, this time the frames of the theme chosen had to tune in to the wave of Skrypka's tastes and views. Well, as a result we can sincerely congratulate ourselves on release of the extremely nice disc – bright, and deep, and fresh at the same time. Along with the already well-known musicians, you will hear a number of teams for which only a couple of steps are left to loud glory. And we are sure: having listened to the disc, you will wish them to manage these steps as quickly as possible...

It is not only interesting, but also pleasant to know that – guess who – Oleg Skrypka himself made a direct contribution into compilation of absolutely all discs of the "Masterpieces of Ukrainian Music" series. Considering that it was his recording house "Kraina Mriy" that has been working over the series – that is, actually, not surprising. But, in any case, it is nice to see that Skrypka has revealed an outstanding awareness of the material. You should also take into account how extensive the palette of themes selected has appeared – and not hackneyed, by the way... We believe that when working over these compilations, he had a lot of interesting discoveries for himself – and we have no doubt that for the future audience of these discs these discoveries may appear no less interesting...
