Tanok Na Maydani Kongo. Rock legends of Ukraine.

Well, it seems that it was not so long ago that I listened to their first performance and to their first recording, and now I am listening to these songs, which are included into the series of "The rock-legends of Ukraine". It is very pleasant indeed, as in fact the guys quickly managed to become a legend of the Ukrainian pop art, as well as a model and an example for many other musicians. You have already read about them in our reviews for many times. Actually, a great deal has been said about them. I find it to be natural, as they have become and still are an ambiguous phenomenon, that’s why they are very interesting, not to mention the fact that they were the first to bring a really high-quality Ukrainian hip-hop to Europe and also were the first to engage such singer as Nina Matviyenko in performing modern music. Even without those things they cannot but touch you. Drive is quite a hackneyed word, while the music performed by "TNMK" is much deeper and brighter. This disc contains the compositions included into three numbered albums of this group, but I have to mention that it is listened to not as a collection, but as a separate album. As a matter of fact, it is listened to mightily. I will tell to those who are epicures that a real rarity is added to this disc – I mean the version of the composition "Arrest" performed in French. You will not find it anywhere but at this particular disc. So, enjoy yourself. It is worth while enjoying.
