Kolo hmar. Mistyka vody. (Water Mysticism )

Kolo Hmar is a Kyiv group playing pure rock, without any superfluous stratifications. Currently, we do not have too many of such groups – however, it seems to be quite easy to explain that. Strange enough, it often appears even a bit more difficult to play "simply rock" than the majority of its "specialized" branches. Here, you need to create with the help of, so to say, simple tools complicated, voluminous pictures – that is why each of the group's participants must sound as distinctly as possible. Thus, music must remain transparent – so that song lyrics still stayed in the forefront, were not lost in spaces of sound. And that is why there should not be too many decorations. For example, the basic decorations that Kolo Hmar afforded were a violin and female back vocal. And, we should admit, they are very organic here – because the group's songs are characterized by certain romanticism, lyricism, and the abovementioned violin advantageously emphasizes these features. Well, and on the whole there appears the pleasant impression that the group does not really aim at quick popularity, but rather calmly searches for its own way. Consciously does not wish to make superfluous moves – and that is why it does not hesitate leaving aside what is superfluous, unnecessary.
