I have nothing to surprise you with. And what were you waiting for? If the disc is entitled in honour of drinking songs, then, I am sorry, your imagination at once draws a picture of a dinner table. It is desirable that the table should be laid, because only an ascetic may have fun on an empty belly (well, do such people have any fun at all?). Or a very cheerful person who in accordance with the circumstances got used to starve long ago and that’s why he pays no attention to the irritation of his stomach. I hope, none of you had to starve under compulsion. Since very cheerful and fairly sad songs are recorded at this disc (not entirely, but normally), and they are performed very well indeed, being accompanied not by a “street-organ”, but by alive instruments, and equally well too, so, the only thing we need is something to be put on the table and somebody to sit at this table. And then to have great fun dancing on the table or taking a nap under it for a minute or two. Still, irrespective of the title of this disc, you may listen to it in the usual manner and get not less pleasure of it than of a feast.
