Ensemble "Vicorda". Compositions of contemporary Ukrainian composers.

We still live in comfortable times, whatever you might say. We have a great number of possible ways to hear, see – to know. We can know our contemporaries by face – and a few dozens of years ago it was not that realistic. It is enough for us to do just a few motions – and we can hear the music we love, or we do not know or the possibility of which we even never suspected. It does not require great efforts, distant and uncertain wanderings, months and even years of expectation, now everything is accessible – easily. So, actually, we offer to you – to glance in the face of your contemporaries. To get to know – and, possibly, to accept. Vicorda Ensemble appeared not that long ago – but far not novices joined it. All the participants are young but already fully formed professionals, masters of performance. In the end, you will easily make sure of that yourself – because the pieces represented here can hardly be called simple, light, names of the composers speak for themselves. The pieces are not difficult for perception, however all of them are united, it seems, by a common trait – delicate but a bit nervous beauty. Still, more beauty than nervous (the short rhymes before each piece hint at that – you will find them in the booklet)... And in order to convincingly play such a tint – all the same it is necessary to know one's business well. Which, actually, Vicorda successfully demonstrates.
