All the three versions of the Hymn are variations in the range from gospel and soul to swing – and, to tell you the truth, all the tracks sound just cool. Common sense seems to prompt that we should expect for a skeptical attitude to this kind of experiments. But, dear guests, I insist – the disc is a very qualitative, joyful, live present for all admirers of jazz.

Music is usually a guide – in various places – and a purposeful guide. But high-quality ambient, as to me, does not send a listener in any concrete direction. It, as a bullet, grows harmoniously, broadens in all directions at once – and, in fact, that is what happens to the audience.

This time – as well as on the later album "Unexplored World" – Hektor Mukomol creates worlds and spaces not alone. The immersion took place with the help of Vitaly Tatsyak, who played the bamboo flute. This is not the only, however, presumably, one of basic reasons, why the feeling arises as though you merge into three worlds at once.

If music of the album were not interesting, even then this release would be worth buying – for the sake of the booklet, because it is a separate transparent trip. However, we a lucky – the music also opens for us something new indeed. Or, maybe, you know other works in the style of "Carpathians new-age with elements of ethnic jazz"?
