Taisiya Povaliy. Sladkiy greh.

Have you noticed that Taisia Povaliy more and more often sings in Russian? I do not know why it happened that way. But still I have always thought that her singing has not become worse of that. On the contrary – there appear some new and interesting intonations which personally I haven’t noticed before. What am I talking about? It may be called simplicity. In any case, when I am listening to this album, I hear not only the singer. Yes, of course, I hear a professional singer with a beautiful and rich voice – I do not deny that. But now I hear first of all a woman. A real, alive, pretty and tender woman. And cordial, too. Frankly speaking, I do not think that it is the matter of the language in which the songs are performed. Most likely that it is quite a different matter - Taisia Povaliy has already studied herself so deeply that her nature flows out with sincere waves into her singing. It does not depend on the language she performs. Because real feminity is not a national feature, it is a personal feature. Still it may become national – and this depends on the quantity of such personalities. I find feminity to be a national feature of Ukrainian women. Still let’s go back to Taisia Povaliy. To a singer. And to a woman.
