Druha Rika. Dennich. (Daynight)

Ten years – have flashed by as one day. Only yesterday, it seems, Ukrainian broadcasters capitulated in the face of "Mathematics" and "Oksana" – and there was in it so much boyish energy, there was so much very young romanticism... But days, years, albums passed by. "Druga Rika" somehow very softly, unobtrusively, but confidently began occupying more and more place in Ukrainian music space. The guys have become, though young, but already men – and that obviously and strongly influenced both their lyrics and music. A bit more of sadness, more transparency – and fewer and fewer superfluous motions. Music experience plus experience of life – and today "Druga Rika" is one of the brightest representatives of Ukrainian neo-romanticism. The group so obviously, qualitatively grows above itself with every new album, that the stop in-between seems very appropriate. And such stop, the result of the ten years is this compilation, "Daynight". However, pay attention – they have found place here for something new as well. And it once again testifies to that the motion continues, the growth has not been halted. The next album, judging by everything, must claim absolutely new quality, new level of mastery – it seems to me, the issue is going substantially deeper into the material. Well, and for a while – "Daynight".
