It will soon be 30 years already from the day when Volodymyr Ivasyuk passed away. And he was only 30 years old then – but he had enough time to bring so much light into the world that it until now has not grown dim, and will live on still long. In Ukrainian music, there are quite few personalities as legendary, loved, as Ivasyuk is – that is, indeed, national recognition, from old to small ones. Even "Chervona Ruta" or "Vodogray" only would be enough for this purpose – but, fortunately, he created considerably more, he created dozens of wonderful melodies. Not all of them are identically well-known – but all of them convey real internal beauty, the live voice of this land. Somehow absolutely naturally, easily Volodymyr Ivasyuk became, excuse me for that word, a symbol – both of the best of Ukrainian music of the 1970s, and of the 1970s as they were, and in general – of beautiful Ukrainian music. His fresh, modern view of music appeared so deep and true that it has not lost its actuality till now – and far not every variety art composer can boast that. However, he never boasted – he burned, shined, warmed... Thus, there are in store for you a few hours of beauty, memories, comparisons (as some songs are recorded in several variants), discoveries – and only one step is left...
