Here, the thing is this – the disc contains, really, the pride, the golden glory of the Ukrainian variety art of the 1960-80th. Vocal and instrumental ensembles in general, and Ukrainian ones in particular (in my opinion) – became an interesting, specific phenomenon in the musical culture of that time. I would even say that modern musicians frequently do not have enough imagination, enthusiasm and skills that were in abundance contained in that music. At that, both remakes of folk songs, and author's songs deserve close attention. For this was a unique alloy of the folk tradition and variety art – with pop-rock and even almost jazz experiments. An alloy so talented – disregarding all political and cultural peripeteia of that time – what even today it may be a wonderful platform for any new musical searches. Well, and, moreover, consider that this disc contains a heap of rare records. Today, it may be possible to find them in separate releases, but still rather not. Only if you are very lucky. So, that's the thing.
