You could already have seen here discs by the
"Group of Oleg Kulchytsky". Now – we have a solo album by Oleg Kulchytsky himself. This album brightly demonstrates how the violin with a serious classic basis can become a solo variety art instrument – and feel good at that. Oleg Kulchytsky defines the style of his music as classic folk modern – and this definition looks rather exhaustive. On the disc, you will find both O.Kulchytsky's own compositions and his arrangements of folk melodies – as well as arrangements of classic melodies (these are, by the way, the "Hungarian Dance" by Brahms and "Persian March" by Strauss). All the music is represented in such manner that will hardly be perceived in earnest by fans of classic music. But – it will be able to interest those who are not used to listening to classic music in classic performance. So – the combinations of the professional violin with the varied opportunities of the synthesizer make perception of the music easier, more accessible. Variety violin – actually, why not? It was Vanessa May who in due time proved that enormous opportunities are hidden here.
