On the cover, it is indicated that this release is the last one in the "Sex In Our Village" series. To tell you the truth, I can hardly believe that. It happened so that kolomyjkas, obviously, will still long remain an actual, up-to-date genre. And the songs represented here – I would call them kolomyjkas as a matter of fact – though their form differs a bit. Kolomyjkas have grown up. It relates not only to the number of lines in the lyrics. Essentially, no mass media is capable, or does not wish to be, of so short and precise description of the situation in the country. Both political, and moral one. With simple words – everyone will understand that. With humor, certainly, – sometimes very straightforward. But sometimes this laughter has such bitter taste that one even feels awkward – but where, but how, and who is to blame? So simple, unostentatious from the outside – this collection brings to the surface rather important questions. Probably, if not the smile squeezed in teeth, it would be too bad – but so it is even fun. Actually, while there is a smile, there is also hope that we will have enough strength to do everything right. I would like to believe that.
