Jazz Impression, Anatoly Alexanian. Full Moon In Korea.

This album is the last one in the Jazz Impression discography, because in 2008 Anatoly Alexanyan, sadly, passed away. But in some way it is also the first one in the Jazz Impression discography: the disc contains a recording of the original album with the same name (Full Moon In Korea) released as long ago as in mid-1990s in one small release. These recording till now were not released for the second time – and that first release was sold out very quickly. The album introduced can also be referred to as a double one – because it consists of the material of two key pieces by Anatoly Alexanyan and Jazz Impression, namely "Full Moon In Korea" and "Marfa". During the last years, work on the album "Pilgrim" was in process – but now it is uncertain whether anyone will be able to complete it.. Thus, even from the purely formal point of view this release is unique.
But there is also – and mainly – the music. And here one could already speak about uniqueness (consider, say, the use of the bandura in jazz) long – and all the same fail to say everything. Music by Alexanyan interlaces an extraordinary number of dimensions and planes, emotions, reflections, philosophies and pure impressionism. And how delicately ethnic lines of different peoples are woven into it, from European to Oriental ones, and how finely they are comprehended in the improvisation aesthetics – sometimes it just takes one's breath away.. It is really, really a pity that now it is only possible to listen to that in recordings. Wonderful intelligence and depth, inspired Creativity – exactly, with the capital letter.
