Voanerges. Boogaj Boogie.

This is already the third official studio album by "Voanerges" – and it seems to be the most complete, fully mature one. At least, there are no longer the abrupt splashes, as there are in the first one – and there are no such gloomy electronic immersions as in the second one. Instead, there is a powerful internal force, there is the ability to combine the old and the modern – this refers both to the texts, and the instruments used, and the very nature of sounding, while the songs structure also becomes more sophisticated. The fully jazz solos, trip-hop, funk, acid jazz trends, the archaic manner of singing, ska moods – all of that is here. However, these things are performed precisely, expressly – therefore, they are perceived exactly as beautiful decorations, not as a way of showing off. As a result – we can conclude that the ethno rock page in 2011 opens with a very bright, interesting release. We hope what the continuation will be no less interesting either.
