Volodymyr Hryshko. Usim materjam prysvjachujet'sja... (Dedicated to All Mothers...)

Strange, but, as far as I know, you now see in front of you the first album of the singer famous all over the world, Ukrainian opera tenor Volodymyr Gryshko. This is really strange – especially, considering how many victories, awards, titles he has managed to obtain, on what stages and together with what people he has managed to sing. However, the start is made – and I practically do not doubt that this will have a long-perspective continuation. If only Volodymyr Gryshko himself wants that – since practice testifies that he knows how to realize his desires, and he does that, usually, quite quickly. From this point of view, the initial step is made very correctly. For the disk, first of all, contains not opera arias but Ukrainian variety songs. And not just known, but very popular – and their popularity lasts for decades. Secondly, the theme is selected, obviously, not by chance either, and many listeners will, probably, like exactly such choice. Thus, this disk must interest a very wide audience. And, presumably, it will interest them, because Volodymyr Gryshko became famous as a master of lyric singing – and, at the same time, as talented promoter of the art of opera.
