There is some general impression of this entire story. A simple impression. Thank God, there still exist people on the earth who in contrast to most of us not only listen to songs. These are the people who sing. These are the people who make recordings.
This disc, along with another one ("V hetij hati"), presents musical tradition of Beresteyshchina, which is a part of Polissya. Because of the geographical position of this locality, Byelorussian and Russian songs are mostly spread on it, but they are not included into this disc as preference is given to older and even ancient songs. In such a way, both discs reflect a deep ritual layer of folk art and invite you to travel with them. To travel not only through the villages of Beresteyshchina, but also to travel by seasons of a year – from Christmas and New Year to autumn weddings. Besides, this is not only traveling in time, but also beyond time. As you know, some things remain unchanged. And we still have the possibility to hear and to understand. Or at least to try to do that.
