If you do not know what is high quality sax (as well as if you know it well) – welcome here. Igor Djachenko is a remarkable Kyiv saxophonist with huge experience and skills that one could envy. His saxophone is not an instrument, it is a voice of a person who grieves and dances, enjoys ice cream and plants a tree near the house. As a rule, the tenor saxophone sounds, in comparison with others, bright and somewhat sharp, cocky. But in these hands its voice acquires new colors, quiet and deep – however, cockiness does not disappear as well. Consider as well the company – serious people have gathered here. Let me mention, for example, Petro Pashkov – one of the most interesting Ukrainian pianists, the living legend of our jazz. And all the rest are far not beginners in their business. And all of them together create on this album something real – simply and sincerely. Without superfluous tricks, without the aplomb that prevents the consent – they play moods, views, thoughts of the evening city, sometimes somewhat tired, but all the same ready for new discoveries. And you – are you ready?
