"The Maneken is a unique artist who works in one of the most trendy areas of the contemporary music – the electronic rock. Using music styles as "clothes" for decoration of his music ideas, he has created several unique "collections", which have its fans not only in CIS countries, but also in Europe and the USA. When The Maneken appeared in 2008 on the national scene, DJs of Ukrainian radio stations referred to him as to "the Ukrainian Jamiroquai". Today his compositions represent a sophisticated combination of dance music and the best elements of the pop-rock culture of the recent decade, starting from Coldplay and Keane and up to The XX, Air and Empire of The Sun. An important stage in the career of The Maneken was the meeting with the German songwriter and filmmaker Charley Stadler (known due to his film "Dead Fish" with Gary Oldman starring). The acquaintance grew into long-term cooperation, as a result of which Charley became the author of lyrics for the majority of songs composed for the second album by The Maneken – "Soulmate Sublime". Especially for performance of the new material, The Maneken gathered the composition of live musicians having transformed from a solo artist into an electronic-rock band..." The project, actually, appeared as far back as a few years ago – but it is lately that the concept has completed its final transformations, reincarnations, and now it is already somewhat new music.
